We don't provide information to advertisers: At Harmonic Vision Inc, we do not sell user information to advertising networks or data miners. Our business is to make the best educational software we can that has value to our customers so that they are willing to pay for it directly, rather than indirectly by viewing ads or having their personal data sold.
Children and young people: Most students using our software are children or young people. How we ensure their privacy is an important concern for us.
Our website currently has no social media capabilities. Therefore, we do not need to worry about student's sharing inappropriate information.
Email addresses:
User's name: The user's name appears in the teacher's student account lists and progress data.
Lesson progress, Game Scores, product options: An important function of our software is to record the student's progress and make it visible to the student and the teacher. This information is not shared with third parties nor is it shared with other students or teachers who are part of other licenses.
Billing details for purchases made on the site: your name, email address, billing address and the last four digits of your card, held by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., which handles them under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. Full card numbers never reach our servers, and we share nothing else with Stripe.
Also, we intend to analyze this data in anonymized and aggregate form internally to improve our software's reliability and educational effectiveness.
IP Addresses:To help us ensure proper use of our license, we log user's IP Address usage. This helps prevent multiple people sharing an account, etc.
Cookies
Local storage: Our educational lesson and game content uses a new technology called WebAssembly. As the educational content is used by the student, it is cached in the browser's local storage. No private user information is stored in this process. It's purpose is to decrease long download wait times for the student.
Cloud service providers: We are transitioning our educational content from desktop-based software to cloud-based software. This requires use of 3rd party cloud services.
